1970 VOLKSWAGEN BEETLE, This 1970 VW Beetle with 1600cc, 4-cylinder engine is looking for a good home to continue the easy life. This car has less than 65,000 original miles, is only driven in the summer, stored year round, not driven in inclement weather and includes a custom car cover. If you decide to drive her in bad weather, no worries, she has been completely undercoated for an extra layer of protection. This year, she was treated to a fresh tune-up and some new parts including rear wheel bearings, front and rear lamp lenses, floor mats, fuel sending unit and glove box. The car itself requires very little, but could still use a few things if your looking to do some minor repair work. This car is easy to maintain and work on and what fun would it be if you couldn't work on something, right? The car has a minor oil leak around the drain cover (I'm told they all leak there), she needs some attention paid to the electrical system (everything works, it just needs cleaned up), the windshield wipers don't work, it needs a wiper solvent resevoir and the horn is not hooked up. The car is originally from California and is in very good shape with only minor blemishes. In 2006, she won an award for top 75 cars in the Main Street Clare Car Show. So, whether you're seeking a bit of nostalgia from your past, or you're just getting started collecting, this is a solid and fun car to start with. All reasonable offers will be considered. Please e-mail me at: jason.showers@gmail.com, if you need further information or more detailed, specific, pictures. I hope you like her as much as we do. Unfortuanately, we don't have the time, or the space to give her the attention she deserves.
