1985 FERRARI 308 GTSI QUATTROVALVE, 1985 Ferrari 308 GTSi Quatrovalves/n ZFFUA13A0F0053395Burgundy Metallic with Parchment Leather As an '85 year model built in the very last production year of the highly successful 308 series, this Quatrovalve is the most advanced and most powerful of the 308s. This example has 41,263 miles, and has just had a comprehensive service performed including cam belt, cooling hoses, and fluids change. This service was completed in September of 2008, and the car has logged virtually no miles since. Receipts are available for all recent work completed. Thus far, this GTSi has had just two registered owners from new, and appears to have been in California all its life. This example is best described as an excellent, well serviced driver in refreshing colors. The paintwork is quite good over a reasonably straight body. There are a few minor rock chips and areas of touch up consistent with a car of its age and mileage. There is one notable scrape along the right rear fender arch. The black bumpers and anodized aluminum vent panels show virtually no fading, confirming that this has been a well cared for car, garaged throughout its life. The glass and lenses are all intact and appear to be original. We see no evidence to suggest this car has ever required any body repairs. The interior is very presentable. The dash and console upholstery are excellent, with all the factory switches and knobs present. The seat upholstery, while not as plush as that of a new car, shows very little wear. The engine bay is beautifully detailed and shows all the characteristics of a well cared for and regularly serviced car. The trunk is in excellent original condition with the enclosure zipper still intact.Mechanically the car is in extremely good order. The car starts early, pulls strong and stops in a confidence inspiring way. The suspension is tight and compliant, as one would expect of a relatively low mileage automobile. The car shifts normally, with a very good second gear syncro, both when warm and cold. The air conditioning system blows, but not very cold, and may require a recharge. With this example comes a jack, top cover, waterproof car cover, records for the current ownership period, and original owner's manual, and a total of three set of keys. While not a show car, this late production 308 Quattrovalvole will provide the new owner with much enjoyment as a user friendly and attractive signature model Ferrari that will make its new owner proud. With asking prices of pristine 308 QVs now soaring into the $65,000 range, and 328 GTSs in the $50,000-$60,000 range, this example is priced to reflect its condition and desirability.
