1994 Porsche 911 Speedster WP0CB2962RS465147 One owner California car Original window sticker, sales paperwork, and manuals Documented low mileage Of all the 911 Speedsters the 1994 is the rarest of them all. Based on the new Carrera 2 platform and designed to be a more focused driver's car the 94 Speedster served as a hybrid between a 964 Carrera 2 Cabriolet and a 964 RS. Porsche planned to build 3000 examples, but only 936 were built and sold during the two years of production. Of the 936 cars only 427 Speedsters headed to the US. The last of the air-cooled speedsters they featured a raked windshield, chopped windows, and a manually operated twin humped rear cover that enclosed the convertible top. This example is a one-owner, California car car, purchased new at Claridge's LTD in Fremont, CA on 5/27/94 for $72,149. The owner took it to his home in Alamo, CA and drove the car infrequently. In 2000 he moved to Rancho Santa Fe in Southern California after which the Speedster was all but retired. The car continued to be serviced, registered and smogged every year, but was kept as a low mileage collector car. Since arriving at Canepa the Speedster has received over 100 hours of attention both mechanically and cosmetically to ensure it is in 100rechanical condition, and ready to grace any concours lawn.
