This truck is powered by a Bill Mitchell Hardcore 454 cubic inch small block Chevrolet. You read that right. 454 cubic inch. Small block. It makes 600 horsepower. On pump gas. You can go to your local Shell station and fill up with some easy-to-find 93 octane and hit the road anywhere. It"s reliable, too. The engine has over 2,800 miles on its build. Remember, we said you were dealing with a street legal race truck. Power gets to the ground through a 6-speed Richmond manual transmission and a 12 bolt rear end with 4.56 gears. The rear tires are massive 31x16.5-15 slicks, so you"ll be sure to hook up. There are three point harnesses for both driver and passenger, as well as a full roll cage. There are tubular control arms, a 4-link rear suspension, and a tube frame. Long tube headers and Flowmaster mufflers provide the soundtrack as well, and there"s a fuel cell under the bed. This truck is capable of running the quarter mile in the 11 second range. You want to go fast? You want this truck. Period. The body of the truck is all steel, but the hood is a custom piece. It"s operated by a hidden switch in the fender that raises it with a pair of large hydraulic pistons. Everything from the firewall on back is steel. The aluminum grille is a one-off handmade piece.
