Looking through our inventory you already know we love El Caminos and this 1970 SS is one of the nicest we've ever had. The show ready silver paint job combines with a great-running small block V8 to make a car that you'll never get tired of driving and looks far more expensive than it is. This car isn't an original Cortez Silver car but it sure looks awesome in that luxurious color doesn't it? Using modern materials it has a super-shine finish that looks other-worldly in person and transforms the truck/car to a smooth operator with a lot of class. A cowl induction hood black SS stripes and exceptionally tight gaps are the kinds of things that car guys notice and appreciate and at this price you will be amazed by the quality. The bed is finished to the same standards and doesn't look like it spent its life hauling tools to the job site although it's now protected by a rubber bed mat and a snug-fitting tonneau cover that tilts up for access. Proper SS badges a blacked-out grille and hood pins reinforce the muscle car part of the Elky's DNA and the whole thing is just so pretty that you'll find yourself turning around to admire it as you walk away in a parking lot. Gray cloth upholstery is a nice upgrade from the original vinyl and the custom stitch work extends to the door panels as well where the original pattern was duplicated for a cool effect. From behind the wheel it's almost impossible to tell that you're not in a Chevelle with a three-spoke steering wheel driver-oriented dashboard and the view over that cowl-induction hood. Instrumentation is basic with just a speedometer and fuel gauge from the factory but with three white-faced auxiliary gauges under the dash you'll never wonder what's going on in the engine bay. An AM/FM/CD stereo head unit factory A/C and a tilt column also make this a great car for road trips or even just a trip down to the local cruise night where it's sure to be a winner. A smart-running small block V8 lives under that cowl-induction hood and makes this El Camino feel every bit as muscular as it looks. A few chrome dress-up pieces make it look good while an aluminum radiator maintains temperatures under almost any conditions. There's obviously a lot of recent work under the hood including an R134a conversion for the A/C system an upgraded master cylinder for the 4-wheel disc brake setup a new alternator and some fresh wiring. The dual exhaust system uses ubiquitous Flowmaster mufflers so it has that traditional muscle car sound that everyone wants. A TH350 3-speed automatic transmission feeds a 12-bolt rear end ignores abuse and is filled with 3.35 gears so it's an easy highway cruiser. You'll note that the floors are clean there are air shocks out back to help with heavy loads and the brake calipers are trick SSBC units that have been powdercoated red to really stand out. Flashy chrome wheels look suitably heavy-duty for the El Camino and carry 18-inch Bridgestone performance radials that fit inside the wheel wells just right. Just a nicely done El Camino for not a lot of money and looking this one over it's pretty easy to see why they've been so popular for so long. Call today!
