This 1967 Chevrolet Nova is an impressive car. It's definitely subtle but it's also the kind of car where the more you look the more there is to see. It's beautifully built inside and out with quality that is tangible in every single component on the car and with a stout 383 stroker motor under the hood it's also seriously potent on the street. Paint doesn't get much nicer than the code G Grenada Gold on this incredible Nova. It's the car's original finish including the code T Capri Cream roof and the person who spec'd this car out in 1967 clearly had great taste because even today it is both unusual and very attractive. Finish quality is all out of proportion to the price with laser-straight bodywork and a deep glossy urethane finish that was cut and buffed to an almost impossible shine. Not only did they not have the technology in 1967 to make a car look this nice they didn't have the time! Everywhere you look there's another little detail that someone obviously took the time to get right from the arrow-straight stainless trim running the length of the body to the beautiful textured trim panel on the trunk. No stripes no fake SS badges no scoops just crisply folded sheetmetal and bright chrome trim that makes this car look a lot more expensive than it is. The interior is equally subtle and equally well-finished with soft Fawn upholstery with bench seats and plenty of eye candy. It's always cool to see a 4-speed on a bench seat car particularly one outfitted like this one suggesting that someone had to custom-order this car when it was new. The soft interior color is at odds with its performance intentions and it's still quite handsome with a shiny dash beautifully restored steering wheel and an aftermarket tach nestled cleanly into the instrument cluster. There aren't a lot of options but you will note that A/C has been very skillfully integrated into the dash which makes for pleasant cruising. There are also white-faced accessory gauges under the dash to watch oil pressure and temperature yet the original AM radio is still in place up high. The upholstery shows almost no signs of use particularly in back and with heavy-duty black rubber floor mats the carpets have been protected too. Open the trunk and you'll find a smooth coat of spatter-finish paint a correct mat and a proper spare tire with jack assembly. A small block is a natural fit here and the 383 cubic inch stroker puts big block power in a small block package. Dressed with plenty of shiny dress-up the engine bay is the kind you'll want to show off provided you stop driving it long enough for other folks to get a look. The usual upgrades help it make serious horsepower and with a big aluminum radiator up front it never gets cranking in the heat. Long-tube headers and twin Flowmasters give it a hi-po sound and you'll note that the rest of the chassis is in extremely good condition. A Muncie 4-speed gearbox feeds a heavy-duty 10-bolt rear end with 3.42s inside providing just the right balance between acceleration and highway comfort. Magnum 500 wheels are era-correct and carry fat 225/60/14 front and 235/60/14 rear BFGoodrich T/A radials. A very impressive build it's even more shocking that it was completed back in 1989 when it won several major awards. If you like the color you're going to love the car. Call today!
