A special order, this 1965 Chevrolet Impala is a documented true SS, 283-2V, 3 spd., column shift with overdrive. The car was built in Wilmington DE on the 3rd week of Feb 1965. It was then shipped to Amish country, Shirks Garage, a small dealership in Intercourse PA. This rare example was previously owned by a very good friend of ours. Equipped with the rare options, this car was his favorite, as he collectively owned many other GM products. Unfortunately, Steve is not with us any longer from loosing his battle with cancer. He is totally missed, and our prayers go out to his family. The options on this Impala are: Overdrive, $108.60, Posi traction $43.00, 7.75-14" WW tires, comfort light group $30.15, PS $96.85, tinted windshield $21.55, front and rear bumper guards $25.85, under coating $30.00, am radio $50.00, extra spare WW tire $27.00, totaling $479.40 with a base price of $2,695.00 and added shipping & handling $316.00. Total cost:$3,490.40. This car has a solid original body, orig. sheet metal, solid frame with orig. floor and trunk pan. the exterior body is straight with no waves in the body, proper alignment to all the panels, fenders, doors, hood and rear trunk lid. the car has had only 1 single repaint. Older base coat clear coat paint that passes the magnet test. Only a few minor chips and road rash up front with a couple touch ups, but over overall in very nice condition. Original chrome bumpers and guards, beautiful orig. front grille, T3 head lamps, orig. bright work, stainless, trim, glass, except a replacement tinted windshield. The interior is completely original, except the carpet has been replaced. Seat covers, door panels, seat belt, headliner and rear pkg. tray are original. Dual bow tie side view mirrors, window felts are orig., and should be replaced. Weather strip appears to be original and is in good shape. Door handle, tail light bezels, lenses, emblems are all in fantastic condition. After market am/fm MP3 player, orig .factory steering wheel, SS console with clock ...works! Full SS gauges with manifold vacuum gauge, nice clean interior, except the headliner is split at a seem and showing some age, should be replaced. Vintage aftermarket AC/heat that works great. The engine compartment is stock with that factory appearance except for the vintage Ac, R-134A. All stock components, intake, carb, air cleaner, dist., exhaust manifolds, Harrison radiator, GM glass washer bottle. This engine purrs like a kitten. Always garaged, never driven in inclement weather as you can see, there is no pitting on any of the trim pieces or tail light housings. Full spare and jack. This is terrific driver quality car that is very unique. Comes with an orig. build sheet, dealer invoice, MA Title and spare set of keys. This 65 Impala is special and a rare find. Needs a good home... Price: $22,500
