This 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302 is in White with Black Rhino. This particular BOSS 302 was ordered new by Paul Swanson FORD Inc., Los Gatos, CA on October 30, 1969. On October 31, 1969, FORD's Dearborn, Michigan production plant assigned order, production and completion details for this vehicle under FORD vehicle identification number (VIN) "OF02G131877." Five days later, on the production line, this BOSS 302 had it's body "bucked" up with completion anticipated eight days later on November 12, 1969. This car was actually built only three days later on November 7, 1969. After quality control checks and inspections, this BOSS 302 was released the next day on November 8, 1969. Less than two weeks later on November 21, 1969, Swanson FORD sold this BOSS 302 to the first owner. This Boss 302 stayed with it's first owner in Napa, California for ten years until 1980. The second owner, also from Napa, purchased the car with 30k miles has kept the car for over 34 years, covering less than an average of 2,900 miles a year in that time frame. During that time the owner installed a roll bar, updated steering and removed the radio. Both the original steering wheel and radio go with this sale. It has an updated carburetor, valve covers and air cleaner. Standard on the Boss 302 were disc brakes on the front, larger sway bars, heavier duty spindles, reinforced shock towers, a four speed manual transmission, and the solid-lifter Boss 302 V8 engine with its free-breathing Cleveland style heads, which had valves larger than most motors over a third larger in displacement. This "G Code" engine was rated at 290 hp. The 1970 car could accelerate from 0-60 mph in 6.9 seconds. The quarter mile took 14.6 seconds at 98 mph. A very rare original paint example. The RF fender has been resprayed what appears to be a long time ago, otherwise original. A largely original example that has been in California since day one and under the same ownership since 1980.
