One of the most iconic designs to leave Ford, nearing the final year of the original 221ci V8, and arguably one of the most collectible amongst many Ford enthusiasts, the 1935 model year highlights many great achievements for Ford. This beautifully kept 1935 Ford V8-48 Deluxe Phaeton is finished in striking Burgundy over Taupe Leather interior and accented perfectly with red wire spoke wheels and pinstripe! The folding convertible top is tan canvass with matching boot cover from LeBaron Bonney. Power comes from its original 221ci V8-48 Flathead engine featuring correct 21-stud heads & Stromberg 97 downdraft carburetor and 3-speed manual transmission. It produces a factory rated 85 horsepower and 144 ft. lbs. of torque! Options on this Deluxe model include rear mounted spare tire with steel cover, outside rearview mirrors, beveled interior rearview mirror with integrated clock, original AM radio, dual chrome horns, pop-up cowl vent, 5.75' amber fog lamps, correct Kelsey Hayes wire wheels fitted with brand new 6.00-16' Coker Classic wide whitewall tires, glass wind wings, vacuum windshield wiper, and upgraded 4-wheel hydraulic drum brakes. The only other notable upgrades include a knicker-Knob on the steering wheel, extra rearview mirrors, rear luggage rack, and a couple of extra not currently fitted to the car. This car possesses an all steel Ford body and fenders showcasing a restoration completed in 2001 by the former California owner of 24 years. It was driven only sparingly since completion as it was part of a multi-car collection. And at 80 years old, he admitted putting no more than 500 miles on this fully rebuilt engine over the last 13 years. It continues to start easily, run very smooth, and drives with precise transmission shifts. The brakes are confident as all of the hydraulic brake upgrades, including master cylinder, were replaced in 2011. A new clutch was installed at this same time as well. It presents a superb opportunity for a savvy investor to own a remarkable car with very drivable potential! The original radio and speaker were fully rebuilt, but lack the cord from the head unit to the box to actually work. All of the other gauges are functional including the oil pressure, amp meter, speedometer/odometer, and fuel level. Provided with the sale of this Ford will be an original chrome rear windscreen and an auxiliary under dash heater box not yet installed. It will also come with a rear tonneau cover, complete side curtain set, convertible boot cover, steering column-mounted accessory flashlight, and former California blue license plates & past California registrations. It is ready to enjoy and one to be proud to show locally! Please call with additional questions or to schedule an appointment to view in person. Price: $59,900
