All vehicle trades considered, including classics and performance. Here is a very nice, very desirable first generation Camaro. This 1968 big block SS convertible combines many favorite Camaro features, and is also a car you can really drive and enjoy. This car has been with the same owner for the last 25 years. It was fully restored in 1990 and has been driven only 10k miles since, spending most of its time indoors. During restoration the car was repainted a beautiful Matador Red with a black convertible top. The paint and SS graphics all remain in excellent shape. I especially like the unique 1968 SS hood with simulated stacks. The doors open and close smoothly with nice body gaps, unlike many unibody convertibles from this era. The underside looks great and is free of any rust issues. Note too all the original factory spot welds under the rocker panels. This is an L35 396 ci 325 hp big-block car with a TH400 automatic transmission. The old engine was replaced with a 1968 ED-code motor of the same ratings. It is a well-mannered big-block without any rough idle or overheating issues. But step on the gas and it roars to life and moves down the road in a hurry. The original 12-bolt rear end houses a 3.31 Positraction setup. Note the 23-inch radiator in front and 5-leaf springs in back. The car also has power steering and power brakes with discs in front, making this car a simple pleasure to drive on those warm cruise nights. The black interior was redone with deluxe seat covers and door panels which look very sharp. There is also the attractive N34 walnut steering wheel and center console with wood trim. The original radio is in place but is disconnected in favor of a modern unit hidden in the glove box, where you will also find the correct SS tire decal. The heater, wiper, and horn all work properly. There are also aftermarket gauges for water temperature and oil pressure. The manual top is quite easy to raise or lower so you can enjoy the nice weather whenever you like. Big-block SS convertibles represent some of the most sought after of Camaros. All this aside, this car's great condition, classic looks, and excellent drivability make it one of the most gratifying assets a person can own. Price: $38,250
