Check out this 1966 Ford Mustang Fast Back GT 350 Shelby Hertz Rent-A-Racer. Mirror finish, Raven Blk exterior paint that is unmistakably a high quality fit and finish. The exterior body panels are extremely straight, orig. rear quarters, rust free doors and front fenders, solid orig. floor pans and uni-structure. Under the hood is a 289 V8 that has been rebuilt and has less than 100 miles since completion. Built to HiPo specs, nicely detailed engine bay that is clean as a whistle. Orig. fender aprons with factory spot welds, Cobra alum intake, Holley 4 barrel carb, Cobra valve covers and oil pan, Mallory unilite dist., factory style HiPo exhaust manifolds, new engine bay wire harness, new radiator, HiPo Harmonic balancer, correct air cleaner, auto light battery topper, export brace, new washer bag and washer pump. New fiberglass hood with steel structure hood pins. No flaws or crack around the hood scoop, new nose hardware kits, correct Fomoco belts, hoses and clamps. The motor runs smooth and the car has great acceleration and plenty of power. T-10 4 spd. gear box, new clutch, pressure plate and throw out bearing, 8"Ford rear with 3.25 axle ratio. Front and rear sway bars, new OEM style dual exhaust with dual mufflers and resonators, trumpet exhaust tips. Check out the new factory style optional Shelby cast alum 10 spoke wheels with new Goodyear 6.95-14 special heavy service Blue Streak raised white letter nylon bias ply tires. Dual bullet style mirrors, dual side scoops, new bumpers, door handles, new Lexan side window, all orig. Carlite glass including the windshield, rear window has been tinted. Restored bright work and stainless, detailed door jambs with new latches and strikes, new weather strip, door hardware, nuts, bolts and screws, new door window rollers and serviced window regulators. The interior has been restored. New carpet, door panels, dash and, headliner, flip fold seat, new factory style seat harnesses, new wood Cobra steering wheel, orig. Shelby tach, rare am 8 track player, 140mph speedo, new arm rest pads and bases. New quarter vent rubber, excellent chrome on vent windows with no pitting. New Shelby sill plates, full instrumentation with new plastic chrome cluster. Everything shows really well on the inside of this tribute. 4 spd. shifter with reverse lockout. Looking on the underside, this car is as solid as a rock. Factory spot welds in the floor, orig. upper and lower ball joints are still on the car. Front end is tight. Reconditioned piston calipers with dual master cylinder front manual disc brake for improved braking. The real Shelby Hertz cars had a terrible brake system with a single master cylinder that required extreme pressure to stop the car with a CAUTION decal on the the dash. You'll be impressed with he lower section of this car...it has a new gas tank and sending unit, brake and fuel lines, e-brake system is in working condition. Back up lights work, the uni-structure is original and has no signs of any rust or repair. Solid rockers, with factory spot welds. Light factory under coating in some areas of the under carriage. New OEM exhaust as mentioned, all brakes, brake hardware, new KYB shocks to go. Currently in our service dept for under carriage detailing, so the photos you see are before shots. This is a high quality professionally restored car for a tribute, right down to the Shelby tag on the left of the fender apron. A super nice recreation. Price: $41,000
