1985 Ferrari 308 GTSi Quattrovalvole Chassis No. ZFFLA13B000056539 The Special Ordered Gil Nickel Quattrovalvole All Original Books, Tools & Emergency Equipment Less than 200 miles on last "Major Service" - Records back to 1985 Clean Carfax History Report Excellent Well Documented History Special Ordered ALL RED, ALL TAN The Pininfarina-styled 308 was introduced at the Paris Motor Show in 1975 as a supplement to the unloved Bertone-shaped Dino 308 GT4 and a replacement for the Dino 246. Designed by Leonardo Fioravanti who had been responsible for some of Ferrari's most celebrated shapes to date such as the Daytona, the Dino and the Berlinetta Boxer. With sweeping curves and aggressive lines, the 308 has become one of the most recognized and iconic Ferrari road cars. Ordered and Imported new by recognized Ferrari enthusiast Gil Nickel of Far Niente Winery, this European specification Quattrovalvole is draped in iconic Ferrari Rosso Corsa paintwork over a complete Tan leather cabin as specified from the factory, equipped with air conditioning and power windows. The interior is beautifully presented; leather seating, trim and headliner show a typical light patina from delicate use. The Ferrari's body and paint show well with straight lines and excellent gaps, minor road rash and blemishes can be expected from older paintwork. Original Campagnolo wheels compliment. The rear stowage compartment with working zippers contains a complete original tool roll and emergency pouch with jack, tools, spare belts, bulbs and fuses. A rare occurrence, especially alongside the original bound factory manuals, cards and booklets. This GTSi sports a strong powerplant as expected from a limited driven example. Being an original European car from the factory, the Ferrari has more horsepower, slightly different gearing, smaller (and lighter) front and rear bumpers, a lower front spoiler with fog lights and a less obtrusive stock exhaust assembly on the rear. A complete "Major Service" was commissioned on all systems in January of 2010, or less than 200 miles ago. Gaskets/seals, hoses, plugs, filters, belts, valves and guides were all addressed. Service invoices and records tracing to the 1985 importation documents accompany, along with car, dash and targa covers. Produced in significantly less numbers than its later counterpart, the 308 GTSi Quattrovalvole has become quite the collectible and practical driver among the early post Enzo-era Ferraris. Here is a complete and maintained example with great early history, worthy of investment and further enjoyment. Note: This car was ordered by Gil Nickel with an all Red exterior including the targa top and an all Tan interior including the dash. The combination is stunning.
