While cars were getting larger and larger for performance, the 1st generation of Mustangs came along and carved itself a new class of automobile while simultaneously carving its spot in to American folklore. Without anything comparable on the market, the ''torque box'' was an innovative structural system that greatly stiffened the Mustang's construction and helped contribute to better handling. With bucket seats, console shifter, and chrome accents, the Mustang lets you know how truly cool the 1st generation really is. This 1966 Mustang Convertible is powered by the 200ci inline 6 cylinder engine paired with a 3-speed automatic transmission. The engine was professionally rebuilt by a specialty shop and currently runs great. It looks great in the Silver Blue factory color and white top. This car has a few small beauty marks, but it a very solid survivor which you can tell by looking at the impressive underneath photographs. It features power steering, power brakes, and the original dash (but radio has a hidden I-pod connection. This is a really cool car that is a safe investment and a lot of fun to cruise around in.
