1971 Pontiac Firebird VIN: 223871N122967, Engine: 350c.i. L30 Lucerne Blue with Black Interior An all-new 1970 Pontiac Firebird represented a new generation of Firebirds. The 2nd generation Firebirds had new styling with a front bumper and recessed grille that was molded out of Endura rubber and painted the same color as the car to giving it a no bumper appearance. Single headlights, split side markers, flush door handles and enlarged wheel openings also highlighted the changes for the new generation. The suspension was also revised and a rear stabilizer bar was added. The 1971 Pontiac Firebird saw few changes. High-back seats, new wheel covers and all models except the Trans Am had simulated louvers behind the front wheels. Its hot look showed what Pontiac stylists could do to express performance and excitement. This particular car is equipped with the B80 Roof Drip Side Moldings, C60 Air Conditioning, A01 All Glass Soft Ray Tinted, D55 Console with Floor Shift, L30 350ci, U59 AM/FM Radio, N30 Custom Spoke Steering Wheel, N41Power Steering, 3-Speed Automatic Transmission, and White Wall Radial Tires on N98 Rally II Rims. The original one owner Firebird has had one repaint and is showing some wear. The original interior, door panels, upholstery, dashboard, carpets, instruments and switches are good. The engine compartment is original and has not been detailed. The GM Dealer customer delivery date was March 30, 1971 and the original delivery dealer was Trotter Pontiac Company of Chattanooga, Tennessee (dealer code 777 in zone 18) per the original Pontiac Motor Division Shipping Document. Also included in the documentation is the GM Car Order Form, thank you letter to the original owner from Pontiac, sale transaction forms, service receipts, state inspection slips, warranty booklet, build sheet, and Pontiac Historical Service documents. This is an outstanding opportunity to acquire an original documented Lucerne Blue Firebird that runs and drives good. With only 2,116 Trans AMs build in 1971in either White or Lucerne Blue this car would be an excellent clone candidate. [Cool] Price: $13,900 negotiable
