This 1931 Ford pickup is one of those rods that just gets better and better the more you look at it. It's professionally built and includes all the important stuff including a cackling small block A/C and paint that's out of this world but it's the details that will really blow you away. Hiding under that brilliant Chili Pepper Red paint is one heck of a lot of work. The shape is familiar to anyone who's seen an early Model A pickup but somehow this rod looks bigger stronger and more substantial. A big part of that comes from the modified cab which not only features a chopped roofline but an 8-inch stretch to add much-needed interior space. The hood is a trick piece with three rows of louvers in place of the single row on the original and that's a painted '32 grille shell up front complete with stainless insert. The bed is beautifully finished with the requisite oak floor and stake sides but the custom hinged tonneau cover is a work of art. Custom built to fit the modified bed you'll note that it has linear actuators to tilt it into position and has been painted on both sides with the top representing the exterior of the truck and the undercarriage painted underneath. Very cool! Modified chrome bumpers a dropped headlight bar with King-Bee style lamps and functional running boards with rubber inserts all give this truck a sense of functionality to go with its incredible style. The gray interior is masterfully designed to make this truck a legitimate long-distance cruiser that's as comfortable as your daily driver. The bench seat fits just right leaving plenty of leg and head room inside the vintage Ford cab and with a tilt column and very cool billet wheel it's easy to get comfortable inside. The reworked dash features shite-faced gauges from Classic Instruments as well as vents for the A/C system and all the secondary controls. The floors are carpeted to control noise and heat and they wisely chose a column shifter to make sure there's plenty of room. An AM/FM/CD stereo with speakers throughout the cabin sounds great particularly with lots of sound deadening materials inside the bodywork. Everything is professionally finished giving you the impression that this was a very high-dollar build. The engine is a reliable Chevy 350 but it's been dressed to be seen with lots of chrome and some custom sheet metal panels to give it a finished look. It's not exotic but it works well and looks fantastic with few signs of use and evidence that every time it was driven someone wiped it down carefully. Packaging is remarkably well done so everything fits under the pointed hood and there's still good service access too. Ceramic-coated headers feed a custom dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers which highlights a very nicely engineered chassis. The front suspension uses A-arms and coil-overs while the independent rear suspension is from a 1968 Corvette all of which has been painted to match the body. There's a disc brake at each corner and a 700R4 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission for easy highway cruising making this truly a no-compromises hot rod. Even the rolling stock is right with traditional-looking 17-inch Torque Thrusts and 215/50/17s up front and 255/60/17s out back. This is one of those cars that just can't be adequately described here but the truth is it's even nicer than it looks in photos. To get all the amazing details give us a call today!
