offered for sale by Blue Marlin Motors USA! The Toronado was quite a unique car for the time. It was large, it was powered by a wonderfully torque 455 cubic inch V8 engine, and of course, it was front wheel drive. Oldsmobile had a goal to combine the engine and transmission in such a way that it all fit in a conventional engine bay, like a rear-wheel drive car. They called it the Unitized Power Package. The 455 CID V8 made a respectable 375 horsepower, but the real magic was the earth-moving 510 ft. lb of torque the engine made. On the outside, the Toronado is stylish and a true standout of the 1960s. This car is finished in lovely silver paint. It shows some rust bubbles, but appears to be solid. With a bit of restoration work, you can have a perfect body that matches the fairly clean underside. Or you could drive it as-is and enjoy it. The choice is yours. The 455 starts up easily, and it is equipped with power steering, power brakes, and the provisions for air conditioning are also present (but it is not currently operational). The interior on the Toronado is incredibly roomy. There"s a large bench seat with PLENTY of leg room, thanks to the completely flat floor, courtesy of the front-wheel drive layout. The car has power windows, a nice aftermarket stereo with subwoofers in the trunk, power steering, power brakes, and more. If you want light steering, this is the car for you.
