1951 FORD COUNTRY SQUIRE “WOODIE WAGON #B1SP119492. “Peoples" Choice, Up The Hills “Best ‘50"s Woodie, etc. A rare find! $95,000. (Stock #3603.) “Woodie wagons' of all types have become iconic American collectibles. Of the woodies, Fords are probably the best known and the most desirable. 1951 was the last year in which Ford built the Country Squire with real wood and ours is certainly one of the finest "51"s available. Just in from Southern California where it had been in the collection of the President of the “Southern California Woodie Club,' this car"s restoration was completed in 2008. It was thoroughly done with the car being finished in authentic “Culver Blue' with a beautiful buckskin interior. The gorgeous Bird"s Eye Maple woodwork was done by Rick Mack Woodwork, a premier West Coast woodie expert for 1949 through 1951 Ford and Mercury woodies. The interior has the 3-seat option with “walk-through' second row seating which may also be folded flat. The car is powered by the original famous “Flathead V-8' engine and this one features mild period performance upgrades including Offenhauser heads and an Isky cam with a three-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Acceleration is quick with 3:50 rear end gears and the overdrive makes highway cruising enjoyable. The car has been shown in Southern California, winning a Grand Nationals “1st Place,' Beachcruisers “Best Wood,' All Ford Picnic"s “1st place,' Wavecrest “Peoples" Choice, Up The Hills “Best ‘50"s Woodie, etc. A rare find! $95,000. Price: $95,000
