For sale in our St. Louis showroom is a beautiful 1997 Dodge Viper GTS with only 14528 original miles! Dodge introduced the Viper in 1992 and immediately stood out in the American sport car market with their large displacement V10 designed with help from Lamborghini. The Viper was greatly improved after its first redesign in 1996 and with the introduction of the GTS. This 1997 GTS features a weight saving aluminum block which came from the factory with forged internals aggressive cams and higher compression than the earlier Vipers. In addition to the more powerful V10 the GTS was also more practical than first generation Vipers as it now had a fixed roof roll up windows driver and passenger air bags air conditioning and CD player. This particular Viper has been meticulously maintained and is completely stock and unmolested. The car has the original 450 Horsepower 8.0L V10 engine and 6 speed manual transmission. Planting the car to the road is a new set of Michelin Pilot Sport tires which sport a 335mm footprint in the rear. The oil has always been changed using the recommended Mobil 1 full synthetic the plugs have been replaced with the recommended solid copper core plugs and the battery is a new Optima.
