FULLY LOADED WITH CONVENIENCE FEATURES AND POWER ACCESSORIES! NOTHING GOES DOWN THE ROAD LIKE A 60′S CADILLAC!! Newly redesigned in 1965, Cadillac made vast changes to their entire line-up. Starting with the removal of the now out-dated fins of the 1950"s, the body took on a more elegant, streamlined appearance. Up front, the fascia now had stacked, vertical headlights and cleaner grill. Underneath, the frame was boxed and carried the full perimeter of the car instead of the heavier, “X' frame of all previous years. Overall, the new design was a huge success for Cadillac and still remains one of the most sought after amongst Cadillac collectors. This brilliant1965 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible remains mostly original with exception to a professional applied, new exterior finish in code correct Sable Black (10) using a base coat/clear coat application. The results truly need to be seen in person to appreciate! Inside, the interior upholstery remains all original; code correct Red Leather (488). The chrome is truly stunning, convertible top is brand new using upgraded Haartz Stayfast cloth, and a well detailed engine compartment really make this 88,700 mile example a real head turner. This Cadillac is unbelievably sharp everywhere you look! Features include number"s matching 429ci V8 producing 340 horsepower, Turbo-Hydromatic, power steering, power brakes, power windows & locks, power vent windows, power convertible top, 6-way power seat, seatbelts, automatic climate control air conditioning, AM/FM radio with rear speaker & power antenna, Eldorado trumpet horn, all original LOF Soft-Ray tinted glass, passenger vanity mirror, Twilight Sentinel timed headlights, Guide-Matic headlight dimmer, power trunk release and automatic pull-down, remote driver"s side mirror, rear fender skirts, radial whitewall tires, and carpeted floor mats. Production totals for the Eldorado Convertible in 1965 were only 2,125 units making them increasingly hard to find each year! According to the original Protect-O-Plate warranty booklet included with our Eldorado, it shows that it sold new on Christmas Eve 1964 from Ridings Motors located in Long Beach, CA. We presume it made for quite the gift exchange that year! The only changes from stock on our example would include the ride leveling system being replaced for standard shocks, and the original hubcaps being upgraded to polished wire spokes. The odometer reading today reflects only 88,704 miles which we believe to be accurate from new. The original hubcaps, owner"s manual, accessory booklet, warranty book, protective plastic case, and padded boot cover are included. All factory original tire changing equipment is present.
