DESIRABLE FLAME RED 4-SPEED WITH OVERDRIVE! 72 SPOKE WIRE WHEELS AND A FACTORY HARDTOP! 2-OWNER OREGON CAR! ONE OF ONLY 2,483 ROADSTERS IMPORTED TO THE US! In 1967, BMC decided to make a 6-cylinder car to one-up themselves and other British offerings with only four cylinders. The motor was straight out of an Austin Healey 3000, with 7 main bearings and a 2912cc displacement. The MGC was new for 1968 and featured a domed hood to accommodate the dual carburetors and enlarged radiator, as well as uprated brakes, beefed up suspension and 15½ inch wire wheels. The 145 hp motors could do 0-60 in 10 seconds and topped out at 120 mph! Only 4,544 MGC Roadsters were built over the two years of production from 1968-1969, of which only 2,483 were imported to the US! We are thrilled to offer this 1969 MG MGC Roadster! Finished in a striking shade of Flame Red, this car is instantly recognizable as an English classic. The interior is done in Black leather with matching piping, a very nice complement to the exterior. The car is fitted with a fully synchronized four-speed manual transmission with Laycock overdrive, factory hardtop, headrests, front/rear bumper guards, heater/defroster, AM/FM radio, front disc brakes with dual boosters, triple windshield wipers, luggage rack, tonneau cover, boot cover, jack with bag, and five 72 spoke painted wire wheels wrapped in 165 SR 15R Michelin tires! Characteristic of the 1969 cars was the slick fender mounted passenger side-view mirror. The MGC was killed after only two years of production because it was such a substantial revision of the MGB that people had grown to love. The engine, despite making a substantial amount more power, added over 200 pounds to the front of the car, creating handling characteristics that some found undesirable. Today, the limited production of these cars has made them among the most popular and valuable MGs ever made. Just ask Prince Charles, who took delivery of one in 1969! This MGC is sure to make any British car enthusiast excited. A two-owner Oregon car, you will be delighted to shift through the crisp gearbox and hear the sound of the exhaust resonate through the cabin! These cars are a blast to drive and the overdrive makes long trips viable. The overall condition of this unrestored car is testament to the loving ownership history and the car shows only minor wear despite its age. Oil change checkpoints are still proudly displayed on the driver door! The car comes with a plethora of assorted parts and a bolt-in roll bar, in addition to some postcards from Dieter"s Foreign Car in Coos Bay, Oregon and some of their dealer paraphernalia and owner plaque. We are selling the car mileage exempt but the odometer shows 33,592. This car presents an excellent (and very much drivable) investment. Act quickly as we predict this car won"t be here too long! And of course, please feel free to call with any questions, request additional photos, or stop by for a closer look! We look forward to working with you! Price: $34,900
