The car is powered by the original 4 cylinder 1500CC engine backed by a 4 spd-manual transmission. The engine has just 1700 miles since it was rebuilt! This car went under a full restoration in 2005 and was professionally painted in 2006. The bumpers were also re-chromed and shine like new. Also new to the car is: hubcaps plugs and wires rebuilt carb 5 new tires battery fuel line and chrome valve covers. The Karmann Ghia offers seat belts hub caps and grey cloth interior. The exterior of the car is painted two tone red and white. The Volkswagen Karmann Ghia is a 2+2 coupe and convertible marketed from 1955 to 1974 by Volkswagen combining the chassis and mechanicals of the Type 1 (Beetle) styling by Luigi Segre of the Italian carrozzeria Ghia and hand-built bodywork by German coach-builder Karmann.
