Although I've always liked International Harvester's nature-inspired 1970s color palette, this re-stored 1977 International Scout II looks utterly fantastic in triple black with white Rallye stripes. The truck was just repainted to a very nice standard; panels are straight with good gaps, door alignment is excellent. The Rallye stripes are correct reproductions and have been expertly ap-plied. Bumpers, grille and trim are in nice shape and the black soft top is nearly new. Dunlop 32x11.50 mud terrain tires on alloy wheels give the truck a great stance. Suspension is stock, but the ride height is a little higher than stock due to the larger tires (32-inch tires are the biggest you can run without a lift). No known topside rust issues; the underside also looks good but has had some repair in the floor pans and inner rockers. The interior shows very well -- it has been nicely redone with new carpet, new front seat uphol-stery and a re-covered dash; the rear seat upholstery is in very good original condition. A new Alpine AM/FM stereo with aux input is mounted in the dash. Roll bar installation is available for a small fee. Under the hood is International's 304 cubic inch V8 mated to a four-speed manual transmission. This Scout has power steering and power disc brakes; both the steering and brakes feel great and make the truck easy to drive. The battery is new and all service is up to date; it starts, runs and drives very well.
