The Chevrolet "Independent" series for 1931 was a touchstone for pre-ww2 General Motors value. Powered by Chevrolet's advanced overhead valve inline 6 engine, the Independents gave the Ford model A's a run for their money in many ways. Chevy's ad line was "Buy a six for the price of a Four", meaning that with just a marginal price increase over the Ford model A, the customer owned 2 more cylinders, 10 more horse power, and upscale body construction in the same manner of a Buick or Cadillac. A little marvel for a brand which would be bantam in the General Motors brand family. The deluxe sport roadster showcased here enjoyed a meticulous frame off restoration at the hands of a classic Chevrolet expert. Finished with a catalog correct color selection of Venetian yellow and a contrasting belt line/fenders in sport tan, an Omaha orange pinstripe and wheel color accent this handsome model in the spirit of the American West. The iconic Chevrolet eagle hood ornament perches on top of a spotless grill ensemble. Every detail is polished and ready for show or blissful cruising excurtions. Finally, this car proudly wears a national AACA prize badge, as well as a classic Chevrolet club award badge, showing its prizewinning provenance with pride. Treat yourself to this wonderful American classic. Youtube video available upon request.
