With a complete rotisserie restoration costing over $42000 this is undoubtedly one of the nicest 1975 Camaros you'll ever come across. And better yet you can legitimately call this 1975 model a sleeper because in place of the anemic 180 horsepower V8 it now carries a thundering 330 horsepower small block. This car plays the role of a sleeper without the fanfare of wild graphics outrageous wheels or even a rear spoiler. Without question if you're the type who only wants the best car our there this is the Camaro for you. While these cars haven't yet reached the collectability of the first-generation Camaros they do look great when done properly and I really like the low-profile look of this one. No cowl-induction hood no ducktail spoiler and heck it still carries its original grille. This was a clean original car to start with and with the red paint done in urethane it has an incredible shine that looks great going down the road. Those wide doors for which these cars are famous fit well and don't sag (another thing for which they're famous) and gaps are good all around. Chrome bumpers are simple but effective particularly up front where it has a pronounced V-shape that follows the contours of the front fascia and the taillights echo the shape of the wrap-around rear window. The black interior got a full rework as well starting with the comfortable buckets that were reupholstered using factory-correct materials and patterns. Fresh black carpets were installed a few years ago and they didn't hold back when upgrading things like the steering wheel and center console. It reveals its performance potential with the column-mounted tachometer B&M shifter and the bright red switch on the dash which looks trick (and controls the A/C). A powerful AM/FM/CD stereo was fitted in the dash with speakers mounted in the center console and rear deck and powered by amplifiers in the trunk. And speaking of the trunk it also includes a correct mat and a space-saver spare that's probably a practical choice in an F-body. The engine is a GM 350 HO crate motor which as most of you already know makes a stout 330 horsepower which is nearly double the original 1975 rating. Neatly dressed with lots of chrome a few bright orange accents it was carefully situated between the fenders and given a very OEM look. Factory style A/C GM HEI ignition system and other details keep the illusion that this is just a garden-variety small block but when you hear it cackle and snarl through the long-tube headers you'll know something's up. It's backed by a quick-shifting TH350 3-speed automatic from TCI and a 10-bolt full of 3.42 gears on a Posi limited slip so it cruises easily and snaps out of the hole in a completely unexpected manner. The floors have been painted to match the body and still show quite well even after 15000 or so miles since the restoration. There's also a new gas tank rebuilt suspension and those handsome Weld Pro-Stars wearing 215/60/15 front and 255/60/15 rear BFGoodrich T/A radials. A neat car with a lot of money invested where it matters. Fast fun and affordable that's what the Camaro is all about. Call today! This vehicle is located in our Charlotte showroom.
