The 1937 Model 78 Convertibles with Rumble seats are among the most rare Pre-War Fords around. This would be one of the last years Ford offered the Rumble seat, which were fixture features in Roadsters and Coupes during the late 20's and early 30's. The combination of the streamliner grille and integrated lever hood ornament was a clever feature that was a typical Ford multipurpose design. This vintage was especially popular with the custom car set for it's sleek horizontally oriented lines and beautifully styled fenders.This example hails from a distinguished collection of Pre-War Fords, befitting of it's rarity and trademark character. Black paint looks very good with excellent chrome bumpers and trim. Interior upholstery was refurbished with attractive Cordova Brown leather in both the main interior and rumble seat compartments. Dash is finished in a handsome warm brown enamel. Top is very clean and a recent replacement with durable Hartz fabric. The stock Flathead V8 runs strong. This is a nice driver and a rare model that deserves serious consideration. You won't find another anytime soon. Youtube video available upon request.
