1968 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible for sale in our Detroit Showroom. This is a rare Corvette for sale because it is one of only 326 Corvettes built in 1968 that received the Saginaw 3 speed manual transmission and one of only 28 built with that transmission in International Blue! The original color of this beauty is International Blue and it is priced so that someone can restore it to that original glory! Under the hood has been meticulously detailed and the engine was rebuilt when removed along with the transmission. The car was checked and found to be numbers matching at that time with the exception of the radiator and side pipes! A build date of October 1967 and an early serial number of 000993 make this a very early build in the St. Louis Missouri plant. 68 Corvettes are unique for several reasons. It is the first year for the C3 body style it is a year where the name \Sting Ray\ disappeared the door handle were unique to this year along with the turn indicators side louvers emergency brake cover with seat belt holder front grill is black first year for fiber optic turn signal indicators and more! This Corvette has options including hard and soft convertible tops leather interior seat belts power steering power brakes AM/FM radio rally wheels and raised white letter radial tires. This is a good running car with a clean interior both tops and a highly detailed engine compartment.
