1956 GMC 100 Suburban Intended as a promotional model to attract customers into showrooms, GMC offered their own version of the Cameo called the Suburban Carrier. A larger more pronounced grill, front bumper and dash were the main differences compared to the Chevrolet. Under the hood GMC"s 248-125 horsepower six cylinder engine was standard equipment with optional V8 engine coming from the Pontiac division. This three owner truck was originally sold by Stead GMC in St. Petersburg Florida, it"s finished in Seminole brown/Tacoma cream with matching vinyl upholstery, equipped with several desirable options including, Pontiac 316 cubic inch 165 horse-power V8 engine, Hydra-matic automatic transmission, Radio, Jet plane hood ornament, Chrome bumpers, grill, mirrors, door guards, original wheel covers, wide white wall tires & chrome window shades.
