New Price: There is no better form of the use of wood than the woodie wagon! Professional wood workers would hand cut and fit individual pieces together to create the masterpiece. As you can imagine, the cost to build such a vehicle was very slow and expensive. By the early 1950's, it came to an end. Very few of these magnificent woodies still exist today. To see one in this condition is rare! I am pleased to offer this expertly restored 1948 Super Deluxe Plymouth Woodie Wagon with 50,000 "original" miles. It was discovered in a barn after sitting for nearly 35 years. The current owner is only the 3rd registered owner! Having undergone a recent restoration, the interior/exterior Ash wood has been stripped and refinished with multiple coats of marine varnish. All the wood on this car is 100nriginal. All chrome is re-plated, new brakes, gauges working, electrical restored to 12 volts, all new upholstery, factory wood grain dash, factory heater and original hubcaps. Optional accessories include sun visor, spare tire, fog lamps and lighted hood ornament. Stainless steel grill and moldings have high luster metal polish. Custom etched glass, custom split exhaust, and rust inhibitor coating applied to the under carriage. The extremely well finished wood compliments the straight teal colored sheet metal. The engine is completely rebuilt using only OES parts. It is powered by a 218cid flathead 6-cylinder engine and three speed manual transmission. This masterpiece has won several awards and appeared in various marketing and magazine campaigns. The 1960's Aloha surfboard racks are included in addition to a custom California Car Cover, custom front bra, detailed restoration documents, photos, and "original" registration. Ready to show or drive. The current owner has owned the car for the past 14 years. Hemmings/Hagerty Valuation 2-3. For additional information, please phone Dave Henry at or email: Please note: Spoke Motors physically photographs, videos, markets and selsl vehicles world-wide for individuals, businesses and museums. Price: $66,500,
