Stk. 1782 1987 Porsche 944 Turbo Race Car If you are looking for a masterfully prepared race car to campaign in NASA, SCCA or SVRA then consider this amazing vehicle. Our owner started with a straight, rust free 1987 Porsche 944 Turbo with the intention of transforming it into a track monster. In doing so he added a full GT racing body kit that offers 2" of additional width to the front fenders and rear quarter panels. A Porsche Cup rear spoiler in carbon-fiber along with a Hendrick Motorsports custom fabricated front spoiler and dive planes (also in carbon fiber) help keep it glued to the track. Utilizing 6 piston Porsche GT3 calipers up front and 4 piston calipers out back along with Brembo full floating GT3 rotors helps this 2,675 lb. Porsche scrub speed fast. 18x11 wheels mounted on 305/645/18 Pirelli rubber up front and 18x12 305/645/18's in the rear provide a powerful contact patch while Lindsey Racing tubular front control arms, newly rebuilt, triple adjustable Penske shocks and custom built sway bars assures maximum flexibility in setting up for any race course. Concerning the stock power plant, it was decided to do away with it and go with Chevrolet power. With over 2 yrs of engineering and constant refinement this is one of the finest LS1 conversions you will find anywhere. Rebuilt in 2012, this all aluminum LS1 block was the recipient of new Wiseco pistons, new rings and bearings, a full Jesel roller valve train and fully balanced rotating system. On top you'll find an aftermarket mass air flow sensor and larger throttle body feeding providing deep breathing to a pair of C&C'd aluminum LS2 heads. For proper lubrication an Aviaid dry sump system was chosen with 4-stage scavage pump, all braided steel lines and 3 gallon reservoir. Handling this 400 plus HP to the wheels is a Tilton triple-disc clutch feeding a custom built 5-Spd transaxle with S2gears and a Quaife LSD. Inside, the standard 944 dash is filled with a full compliment of silver faced Autometer gauges, OMP steering wheel cockpit adjustable Tilton dual-master cylinder system and a custom built roll cage by Competition Race Parts. It has raced and placed as high as 2nd over-all in NASA's ST1 class and 3rd in class in the NASA Nationals at Mid-Ohio. Along with this amazing car goes multiple body parts, in-car camera system and a small pit cart. NOTE: car trailer is available at a very reasonable price. Call or visit our website at for more information. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS" Price: $49,995
