This is a 1955 Austin Healey 100. But this is not your English country road Austin Healey. This car is a rocket. This is the car Carroll Shelby would have built if Austin Healey would have sold him the chassis and bodies when he first conceived his Cobra (Shelby raced Austin Healeys). It is fitted with a 370hp Corvette engine, original Cobra gauges on polished aluminum dash, oil cooler, 4-speed close ratio Muncie gearbox with Hurst shifter, Ford positraction differential. Custom wheels and disk brakes all around. For all that, the V-8 engine is 75 pounds lighter than the old Healy 4 banger. The body is perhaps the most beautiful AH in the country. The car is in show condition (and was featured in Rod & Custom magazine in April 2013). All seams have been filled, extraneous trim removed so the sexy Austin Healey style really stands out as it should. New paint, new upholstery, clean undercarraige.
