1973 BMW 3.0CS injected finished in Ivory with Black Sport seats. Fitted with a 3.7 liter engine built by respected racing engine builder Rebello Racing, this one of a kind E9 coupe has to be one of the fastest and best sorted E9 Coupes available anywhere. Totally exhilarating to drive, this E9 has had the power steering and air conditioning removed to make the driving experience as pure as possible. It will remind you of a 1973 Porsche Carrera RS in it's manners. Recently in from California where it has been in the same owners loving care for over 13 years. The engine started life as a 3.5 and was stroked to a 3.7. A custom air box was built to enclose the tall velocity stacks. ALL components used were top notch race quality but it was tuned for high end street use, reliability and longevity as opposed to primarily performance as would be the case with a race engine. It has J&E pistons, race bearings, Jenvey fuel injection throttle bodies, crank fired programable management system, Vipec injection, longer H beams and on and on. The engine was bored and stroked and polished and is in EVERY way according to Rebello, a “ PREMIUM “ build. Over $20k was invested in the build of the engine alone ( not including the cost of MANY parts that the former owner supplied ). Furthermore, it has a FULL stainless exhaust that is a work of art, 5 speed gearbox, 3.91 75eimited Slip Differential from Metric Mechanic. Also fitted is a period correct Personal steering wheel, a newly rebuilt CSL quick ratio steering box, CSL style front air dam with bumper delete, Italian front marker lenses, brand new sport seats by Steven Schleissing of GTS Classics with a rear seat in matching upholstery, factory Alpina wheels ( NOT REPROS ), all new suspension, control arms, coil overs, tie rods, bearings and an adjustable subframe that allows for adjustment of rear camber. It"s been driven 15k miles since the total rebuild so everything has been fully sorted and it"s ready to be enjoyed by the next owner. Priced at $55,900.00.
