Stk. 1688 1966 Volkswagen Beetle Have you ever admired or wanted a classic VW when you were growing up, but never had the chance to buy one? If so, we have an opportunity for you. This 1966 Beetle convertible has been lovingly restored and customized by the local owner in full rotisserie fashion. This custom theme started by laying down a wicked two stage, base coat/clear coat of Ford Grabber Blue paint to set the stage. To further dramatize the visual impact…a new adjustable front end with two and a half inch dropped spindles were used to lower the front end and raise the cool factor. As you would expect with a rotisserie restoration, all the suspension components, shocks, ball joints, tie rods, steering box, have been replaced. Ditto for the rear suspension as well. Disc brakes replace the old drums out back for enhanced braking power. A major tweak under hood; the 1300cc motor has been upgraded with a completely rebuilt, 1600cc power plant to back up its aggressive demeanor. Sporting twin EMPI downdraft carburetors on top, and a trick ceramic coated exhaust, make for a sound that V.W. lovers all swoon for. As you nestle down in its supportive, newly recovered two-tone seats, and let your right hand drop to meet that ever so well placed Hurst shifter, and focus on that classic V.W. straight ahead instrument panel…you realize that this is one well thought out driving machine. The final finishing touch has to be the chromed, Porsche Fuchs wheels. With their sparkling spokes, painted center caps, and blue brake calipers peeking out from behind, it's a visual cue that this ain't your garden variety Vee-Dub! Don't wait for springtime to buy this drop-top, because it won't last long! Call or visit our website at for more information. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS" Price: $27,995
