Get into the Corvette hobby for less than the price of a used Chevy sedan with this 1982 coupe. It offers remarkable original paint a beautiful tan leather interior and T-tops all of which make this a great-looking summertime cruiser that you'll enjoy far more than the bargain price would suggest. Although 1982 was nearing the end of the line for the C3 it didn't diminish the iconic looks one bit and even today these are perhaps the most distinctive Corvettes ever built. Everyone loves them. And when they look this good falling in love is easy. This car is an all-original survivor including the paint which still looks great. Gaps are good the paint is smooth and glossy with no waves or ripples in the fiberglass and even the front and rear bumpers are the same color as the body which was often a challenge on the light-colored cars. The hatchback profile greatly improved Corvette aerodynamics as well as the car's overall look and it's enhanced by the ducktail spoiler. All the trim is in good condition the glass is excellent and the T-tops fit snugly with no whistles or leaking. The mileage shown is probably authentic although this car could easily claim half as many miles based on the condition of the interior. The tan leather buckets show no damage and only light wear extraordinary for 30 years of entertainment. Sure it looks very disco-era inside but isn't that the whole point with one of these C3s? Besides with the T-tops off you'll appreciate the light color and it works very well to hide dirt so it always looks great. Corvettes typically came loaded with options and this one is no exception carrying things like power brakes power steering power windows power locks a tilt wheel cruise control A/C power driver's seat and a rear defroster. Burled walnut appliques warm things up a bit and the original AM/FM radio has been upgraded to a later AM/FM/cassette head unit that looks right at home in the original console. The engine is an L83 350 cubic inch V8 which sports first year Cross-Fire fuel injection and making it the first fuel-injected Corvette in 20 years. With a nice round 200 horsepower on tap it was among the most powerful cars you could buy in 1982 and even today performance is decent with great torque available from very low speeds. The engine bay is tidy and shows signs of regular maintenance and you just can't miss the unique dual air cleaners that were part of the Cross-Fire injection system. The 4-speed automatic transmission was a relatively recent innovation which allowed effortless high-speed cruising thanks to a steep overdrive gear without giving up potent acceleration around town. Four-wheel discs have been standard equipment since 1965 and it rolls on cool turbine-look wheels wearing 255/60/15 BFGoodrich T/A radials. Fast comfortable and timeless this is a great entry-level 'Vette that delivers true Corvette thrills for not a lot of money. Call today! This vehicle is located in our Atlanta showroom.
