This meticulously presented 1940 Ford DeLuxe Woodie Station Wagon is the recipient of a total frame-off restoration completed in 2013.It is finished in correct and attractive Cloud Mist Gray, which is famously rather more green than gray, and features fully restored/replaced wood. The restoration was completed with the goal of absolute authenticity, with lacquer paint over the restored original sheet metal, Michigan-grown maple wood sourced from the experts at Cincinnati Woodworks, and as many original parts retained and restored as possible, down to even rebuilding the original shocks.Included with this Deluxe Wagon is an extensive file of restoration photos, photos of the car in storage in San Rafael, CA, during the mid 1970s, plus bills of sale and ownership documents creating an unbroken chain back to March 13, 1970 in Santa Fe, NM. Also included are restoration receipts, photos and build information, plus copious volumes of Ford Wagon information including service manuals, parts books, 1940s road maps, vintage magazine articles from the early 1980s, and even a self-published hard-bound book about the car and the build! This Deluxe Station Wagon has had just one owner, a National Woodie Club member, since 1986.From the superior quality of its highly accurate restoration to its documented Western-states owner history and excellent provenance, this 1940 Deluxe Wagon simply ranks among the very finest available anywhere on the market.See more restoration photos on our Flickr page, HERE. Price: $119,950
