A true documented L78 Camaro finished in the ultra-rare factory original Sequoia Exterior, only offered in 1968. Also having the highest horsepower available that year of 375HP and twice as rare as the 1968 Z28! This Rare L78 has gone through a meticulous sub- frame off nut and bolt restoration to original factory specs. All matching numbers, correct codes, dates and part numbers throughout. Featuring factory special heavy duty items including: factory solid lifter cam, aluminum intake, Holley carb, special suspension, heavy duty radiator, 4 Speed Trans and 4:10 Posi-traction Rear End. Special attention was paid to all areas of the restoration including the extremely rare alternator available in only the 1968 Z28"s and L78"s, being completely re-plated and rebuilt down to correct date coded diodes!!. Different from most 396 cars, the original rebuilt GM high performance 6000rpm Tic Toc Tach is still in place! The original Holley carb and brake booster were also rebuilt and re-plated to factory specs. The frame, core support, inner fenders, heater cover, support bars, a-arms and all of the other suspension parts were powder coated in the correct factory colors. Bumpers are factory and re-chromed. Side markers, interior gauges, caps, rings are correct factory GM. The correct “1968 Only' GM grill with the silver chrome horizontal edges, an item few people get correct when restoring! The correct rally wheels for the SS with correct numbers and have been powder coated on the inside with the correct shade of gray. The outsides are done in the factory correct Argent Silver. The Chrome wheel rings are also factory pieces, not repos. The tires are firestone f-70 redlines, correct for the car. These are from Coker tire, not originals from firestone. In keeping with the spirit of a meticulous restoration and originality, even the door panels, dash pad, pillar posts, etc, were removed and re-skinned to retain the correct factory numbers and markings instead of simply using aftermarket parts. The steering wheel is the rare deluxe dual horn tab SS wheel that has been restored. There were approximately half as many L-78"s made as Z/28"s and very few with the RS/SS package. The trunk compartment features a rare inflatable spare, along with an original inflator bottle. The original jack, etc. were replaced correctly. The Air Cleaner and Valve Covers are restored originals, not repros. The quality of restoration on this car is unsurpassed. Unbelievable attention to detail was undertaken. It is truly one of the nicest, correct Camaros anywhere. Price: $99,900
