This is great example of iconic 50's automotive styling. In 1955 Ford introduced their newly redesigned lineup to stay competitive in the market, featuring the top of the line Crown Victoria. Complete with new styling and features like the chrome "basket handle" across the roof, 2 tone paint job and the signature round taillights, there was no mistaking this car for anything else on the road at the time. This particular car is a great example of what made this car so popular in the first place and stands out wherever it goes. It features a 272 Y block V8 rated at 162 horsepower with a 2 barrel carburetor and a 3 on the tree manual transmission with working overdrive. The car underwent a restoration some time ago but has held up fairly well over time. It is a very solid car and straight car with almost no rust at all (just a few surface spots, nothing eating into the car). It runs very strong and has just recently had the entire brake system gone through including the master cylinder, brake lines, wheel cylinders, shoes, springs and drums. The transmission shifts with no issues and the overdrive even kicks in when you're cruising along. It has glasspack mufflers on it with an old school style dual exhaust, giving it that great vintage hot rod sound whether its just sitting at idle or being revved up through the cruise in parking lot. Outside, the paint is older but still has a good shine to it. All the chrome is there and in good shape, no rusting, pitting or flaking. There are a few chips in the paint but all the glass is good with no cracks. The car sits on almost new bias ply tires with the original wheels and hubcaps to top off that nostalgic 50's look, and all the suspension is in good shape allowing this car to cruise down the road smoothly. The interior upholstery was redone in original when the car was first restored. There are no tears or scuffs, the carpet looks almost new and the headliner does as well. All lights work on the car, as do the gauges, the radio however does not. Overall this car is a great driver, and is sure to be a headturner wherever it goes. It would be a great weekend cruiser just as it is or would serve as an excellent base for someone who wants a project to take to the next level Price: $24,975
