This project started with an original rust free SS 396 car that underwent a complete pro-build from the ground up by Hi Speed Rod and Custom in Tucson Arizona. No expense was spared in the making of this ground pounding road hugging chevelle. Power is supplied by a GM crate 502 Ramjet rated at 502hp and 565 ft lbs of torque. These engines supply excellent power and a huge torque curve. Multiport fuel injection makes her run as smooth as any modern vehicle. Backed by a built 700R4 automatic overdrive transmission with Hughes Performance converter which makes it fun to drive around town or on the highway. Suspension was fully upgraded to tubular control arms and polyurethane bushings throughout. Air Ride Technologies Air Ride system is fully adjustable and provides an amazingly comfortable ride while making it feel like its handling on rails.
