Cadillacs and GMs success in the Fifties allowed Cadillac to carry out complete body redesigns for an unparalleled six years in a row from 1956 through 1962. 1960s really was one of the best as many of the late 50s excesses and cliches were undone to create a refined but still flamboyant and unmistakably Cadillac look. The fender fins were toned down from 1959s taillight-laded extravagances and now integrated a thin vertical brake-turn-tail light with a larger circular lamp in the fender nacelle below. Hundreds of faceted elements gave the wide horizontal grille sparkling character. These features were augmented even further in the super luxurious Eldorado Biarritz and Seville by chrome lower body moldings that continued all the way to the taillight housings. One of just 1285 Eldorado Biarritz convertibles built in 1960 this beautiful car with Champagne paint and matching leather interior is characteristically loaded with features including a fiberglass parade boot power windows power steering power brakes power trunk release air conditioning Wonderbar radio and bucket seats. It also rides on chrome wire wheels with whitewall tires which completes this picture of classic American glamour. A completely and properly restored car it is very much show worthy with an immaculate engine bay and excellent cosmetics.
