The Daimler Majestic was launched in 1958 and was in production until 1962. Only 1490 examples were produced and very few of them came to New Zealand. This six cylinder, four door saloon, with three speed Borg Wagner auto transmission, power steering and vacuum-servo assisted four-wheel disk brakes (regarded as a first for a British production car), was very mechanically advanced for its time Chassis number: 98379 and Engine number 90093, this car is NZ new, has Low Mileage and has had only THREE OWNERS From New! Interior is very original and very well preserved. No rips on carpets or seats. All wood is in very good condition and all instruments work as they should. Exterior is very tidy for age. Good paint and very presentable. A real pleasure to drive - car is good mechanically and has a very good motor. Like all previous postwar Daimlers, the Majestic was designed around a massive cruciform-braced box-section chassis equipped with coil-sprung independent front suspension, with a well located 'live' rear axle with semi-elliptic leaf springs. The engine is an inline six of 3.8 litres (3794 cc), based on previous Daimler sixes with pushrod operated overhead valves giving a power output of over 147 brake horsepower at 4,400 rpm and produced 209 lb•ft (283 N•m) of torque at 2,800 rpm with a maximum speed of around 180 km/h (112 mph) SHIPPING CAN BE ORGANISED ON BUYER'S BEHALF AT BUYERS COST. At Waimak Classic Cars, we have been privately collecting classic cars and memorabilia for a number of years. Our contacts extend throughout New Zealand, Australia, the UK and in various parts of the world. If you have anything to sell or if you are looking for that something special, we're always happy to talk cars!
