It probably isn't a collector's item yet but this 2008 Cadillac STS is more than just a super clean low-mileage used car too. With just 10120 miles on the clock it's virtually new in every measurable way and offers a ton of performance and luxury for the price of a garden-variety car and that's worth noting. Cloaked in icy silver paint Cadillac's top-of-the-line luxury performance sedan shows off a second-generation "Art and Science" shape that is uniquely American and unquestionably high-end. There's also a sizable trunk with cargo net and a space-saver spare that's never been used. The STS was the first application of Cadillac's mighty Northstar DOHC V8 in a rear-wheel-drive application and it gives the Cadillac a very unique attitude. With sewing-machine precision and a willingness to rev it delivers more than 300 of the most silky-smooth horses you've ever experienced. But don't let its four cams and thirty-two valves fool you into thinking it's soft on the bottom end as it delivers a fat wallop of torque at virtually any speed and effortlessly cruises at triple-digit velocities. Backed by a 5-speed automatic transmission it always seems to be in the right gear and planting your foot will summon a two-gear downshift to make it rocket out of tight situations more like a Corvette than a luxury sedan. The all-independent suspension soaks up bumps without feeling flabby in the twisties and powerful 4-wheel disc brakes provide impressive stopping power. You also get GM's traction and stability control systems which are regarded as the world's best. Handsome polished alloy wheels are almost completely unmarked and carry 235/50/17 Michelin radials.
