If our recent sales are any indication convertible muscle cars are without a doubt some of the most sought after vehicles in the collector car hobby. Even from their creation they have always been extremely rare and today bring some crazy high dollars at auction. Well here sits your chance to add a flawless convertible muscle car to your collection. Thanks to a complete frame off restoration this 1970 Chevelle has an incredible look with plenty of power under the hood and upgraded suspension components to make it a very formidable monster traveling on the streets. As with any high caliber classic this Chevy's paint and bodywork is first-rate throughout. Originally leaving the factory with a champagne gold exterior today it sits with a shiny coat of black with white racing stripes. The result is a killer show car look. Combine that with a list of upgrades in the engine bay and underneath the car and you have one incredible convertible muscle car. Many enthusiasts believe the '70 Chevelle introduced a host of excellent refinements which transformed the 'good' design of Chevrolet's '69 model into something 'great'. At the front of this red hot rocket you'll find a familiar crossbar grille which hangs a fresh and prominent ''SS'' emblem between a small ''CHEVELLE'' script and a fresh chrome bumper. Above that bumper a functional cowl induction hood anchors traditional lanyards and rebuilt hide-a-way wipers at the base of like-new glass that's framed by pristine stainless trim. At the base of that trim subtle red and white inlayed ''SS454'' badges combine with straight stainless wheel frames traditional chrome door handles and flashy chrome mirrors to add visual detail to the car's liquid smooth profile. And at the back of that profile a second chrome bumper hangs a black Super Sport inlay between clear brake lights a fresh ''Chevelle by Chevrolet'' trunk emblem and spotless chrome exhaust tips. Lift the cowl induction hood and you will reveal a beautiful engine bay that has been stuffed with a massive 396 cubic inch Chevy V8 that is rated to crank out 300hp. The dressed up engine is painted in the famous Chevy orange and looks incredible against the black of the engine bay. At the top of the engine a chrome air filter sits on top of an Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor that feeds the air fuel mixture through an aluminum Edelbrock Performer intake manifold. An HEI ignition provides the spark and spent gasses travel through coated long tube headers to exit the engine. At the front of the engine is a March polished serpentine belt drive that adds a little more flare to the engine bay. In front of the engine an aluminum radiator and oil cooler with the help of dual electric fans are responsible for cooling the powerplant. Underneath the Chevelle you'll see a ton of upgrades that push this A-body into the realm of resto-mod. Utilizing the factory frame the Chevelle has been equipped with a Detroit Speed double a-arm front suspension and at the rear you'll find that the original leaf spring has been replaced with an aftermarket rear control arm setup. Bolted to the big 396 is a 4-speed manual that sends power to GM 12-bolt rear axle. Spent gasses leave the aforementioned coated long tube headers and travel through dual exhausts equipped with an h-pipe through Flowmaster mufflers that exit out the back of the car to create a breathtaking sound. The stopping power of the vehicle has also been upgraded with 4-wheel power disc brakes at every corner. In front of those brakes you will find 20'' Boss wheels with painted centers that have been wrapped in 245/35 Denlinte rubber for the front and 275/35 Dunlop rubber in the rear. The resto-mod theme continues when you sit behind the steering wheel. Pop open the doors and you'll reveal a luxurious interior that has been completely restored. Originally leaving the factory with a saddle color interior today a beautiful front and rear black vinyl bench seat greets the passengers of the vehicle. In front of the driver is a three spoke leather steering wheel that wears the famous Chevy bowtie in the center and beyond the steering wheel a standard instrument cluster reveals the happenings of the engine. Just to the right of the instruments is an aftermarket digital tuner and air conditioner controls that are right within reach of the driver. The like new black carpet floors are protected by Chevelle floor mats and in the center of the floor the chrome Muncie shifter controls the 4-speed. With either the top up or down you and your passengers can cruise in style thanks to a completely restored black vinyl interior. Included in the sale of this incredible Chevelle is a massive stack of receipts that show just how extensive this restoration really was. Thanks in part to a black on black scheme throughout the car this Chevelle wears a very aggressive look and beautifully combines the look of a genuine muscle car with the convenience of modern touches. This might fall in the resto-mod category but it's done in such a way that the builder preserved the historic and desired look of a convertible muscle car. This convertible is ready to take home awards at your local car show or ready for a Sunday summer drive with the top down. Don't miss your chance to add this 1970 Chevelle convertible to your collection. Call click or visit for more information. Price: $79,900
