Is the 1969 Camaro the most popular muscle car of all? We can't seem to keep them in stock and for all-around performance good looks and massive parts support it's pretty hard to beat. This Z/28 tribute has the right look and with a few extra cubic inches under the hood it delivers on the promises those racing stripes make. Lemans Blue always seems to make the Camaro look like an adult's car. Hugger Orange might be high-visibility but if you've outgrown being the center of attention and just want a super-clean F-body that still looks aggressive well Lemans Blue is a great choice. It's a real X11-code car strongly suggesting that those SS stripes are earned and not just added by an ambitious restorer although the Z/28 badging is admittedly not authentic. However the glow of the paint the smooth professionally-prepped bodywork and good panel alignment give this car the right look and it'll be a hit at local shows and out on the road. It has the requisite cowl-induction hood and ducktail spoiler for that lean mean hungry look of a predator and like many of you I prefer the non-RS round headlights set into a correct Z/28 grille. Nice chrome bumpers gill inserts and polished rocker trim make this Z sparkle. Hard to argue with the dark blue interior which is also all-new. Fresh reproductions eat covers on the front buckets include factory headrests which the feds mandated in late '68. A center console with a horseshoe shifter isn't proper Z/28 spec but that doesn't make it any less cool and there are plenty of us who have learned that an automatic gearbox is the smart choice for a car that's going to get driven frequently. A 3-spoke steering wheel will look and feel familiar to Camaro fans framing the original gauges in the dash. There's also a set of auxiliary dials under the radio which is a later AM/FM/cassette head unit. Camaro experts will spot the A/C vents and know that this was a factory A/C car and the original compressor and brackets are included if you'd like to reinstall it. The trunk is really nicely finished with spatter paint as original. Real Z/28s had 302 cubic inches but I'm sure you'll appreciate the extra 48 cubes that come with this one. Very nicely finished with enough eye candy to make opening the hood a regular occasion the small block V8 runs as great as it looks. Chevy Orange paint an aluminum Weiand intake and Holley 4-barrel carb chrome tinwork and long-tube headers all make this V8 as familiar as your childhood home. It starts with a nice burble from the dual exhaust system and thanks to the quick reflexes of the TH350 3-speed automatic it's a lot of fun to drive around town where you can just aim and shoot letting the torquey small block flex its muscles. The underside isn't detailed for show but the light dusting of undercoating isn't hiding anything and it's perfect for a car that you're going to want to drive regularly. Fresh BFG radials were just installed so fresh that you can still almost see the protective blue coating on the raised white letters. Not a show car or an ultra-rare piece of history just a slick V8 Camaro that looks and drives great. Call today! This vehicle is located in our Dallas/Fort Worth showroom.
