Jaguar was still riding high on the spectacular success of the XK120 when they introduced their first all-new postwar sedan the Mark VII at Earls Court in 1950. It replaced the somewhat dated Mark V and utilized the wonderful 3.4-liter XK straight-six engine while adopting fuller more modern and decidedly more feline styling. Luxurious interiors stellar performance and dazzling looks at an attractive price would become traits synonymous with Jaguar over this period and they are certainly to be found in the Mark VII. It is one of the most appreciated classic British saloons and this very pretty left-hand-drive automatic example does not make it hard to see why. Finished in black with dark green below the beltline it rides on wide whitewall tires and hubcaps with chrome trim rings that are complimented by fender skirts in the rear. The interior is a newer green vinyl with nice original wood and there are pullout picnic trays on the back of the front seats. With strong paint and chrome and good overall cosmetics this car offers very presentable and usable classic British luxury for the discerning motorist. Price: $39,500
