The classic Talbot-Lago with Teardrop Coupe Coachwork by Figoni et Falaschi is to most anyone’s eyes among the most breathtaking shapes ever laid onto four wheels. They are also some of the most collectible cars of all as Figoni et Falaschi only made eleven of the beautiful aerodynamic coupes. These extremely rare cars have since inspired the Talbo recreations by TLC Carrossiers. No mere kit car or half-hearted replica it is a world class automobile in its own right that offers incredible comfort phenomenal performance and of course that beautiful shape. The measurements for the fiberglass composite body shell were taken from a genuine example and each car precisely simulates those classic Giuseppe Figoni-penned lines. As for the mechanicals what TLC has done is take a timeless design and interpret it on a modern chassis. The chassis frame is custom built from laser cut and rustproofed components suspension is all independent and the brakes are four wheel discs. The engine is a powerful and reliable Ford V8 fitted with stainless steel exhaust and Borla mufflers. The interior also features the amenities and technology of a contemporary automobile but does not lose the classic touch and sense of occasion offered when driving a vintage car. This 1995 Talbo is a Series I fitted with a 5.0-liter Ford V8 and automatic transmission. It is finished in a striking French racing blue and has chrome wire wheels Michelin blackwall tires and meticulously crafted tan leather interior. The interior features such striking touches as an engine-turned aluminum dash Moto Lita wood-rimmed steering wheel wood door trims and white gauges. Subtly placed but welcome modern luxuries include a tilt steering column power windows power steering power seats cruise control AM/FM radio and CD player and remote keyless alarm system. The car is exquisite both inside and out and with just over 25000 miles it drives like a contemporary European sports car. No contemporary European sports car however looks this stunning. Talbos were constructed carefully and with a high degree of craftsmanship meaning that only a handful were ever constructed. Those lucky enough to acquire one tend to hold on to it so they are rarely available to buy. This is a rare opportunity then to acquire a highly sought after automobile with superb modern performance coupled to legendary styling. Price: $195,000
