This is 1 of 3 Saleen Mustang police cars built by Saleen motors for the use in the 2007 movie Transformers. Known as Barricade, it was the Decepticon nemesis of the guardian Autobot, Bumblebee. This car was used as a stunt car for driving scenes where the car would be seen driving by itself. The driver"s seat was designed and modified by the special effects department to “hide' the driver. The headrest is extra deep and the drivers head would set inside it while a black screen would hide the drivers face. The cushions from the seat back and bottom also remove and would be strapped to the driver to hide their body. Since the car was built for movie use, it didn"t need to have the horsepower that Saleen is known for; therefore the power source for this Saleen is only a 6 cylinder. That makes this the world"s only 6 cylinder Saleen Mustang. Volo Auto Museum acquired this car directly from the movie productions transportation department. Authenticated with movie production documentations and documentation from Saleen.
