Memorialized forever as the final year of the true, first generation Mustang, the 1973 model year is certain to retain strong investment potential! By 1974, Ford"s popular selling Mustang became a far more inferior Mustang II based on a Pinto chassis with a smaller body and engine choked with federally mandated emission controls and safety features. This incredible 1973 Ford Mustang Convertible survives with just 2 original owners from new! Finished in original color of Medium Bright Yellow over Black Vinyl interior with brand new matching Black convertible top with glass backlite! This wonderful example is fitted with its factory, numbers matching Q-code 351ci V8-4V Cleveland engine and 4-speed manual transmission! Factory options include competition suspension, Selectaire air conditioning, power disc brakes, power steering, power convertible top, intermittent wipers, color-keyed sport mirrors, Instrumentation Group with dash tachometer, Convenience Group, Appearance Protection Group, all tinted glass, 3.25 Traction-Lok rear axle ratio, radial tires, rare alarm with Chapman locks, and more! It was later update with new AM/FM/Cassette radio with rear speakers, chrome 15' Magnum 500 wheels, and front spoiler. Built in June of 1973, and originally sold new from a Tunis Ford, Inc based in Rockville Center, New York, it stayed with the original owner through late 2005 before the second owner purchased and maintained it until today! It showcases a truly remarkable rust-free body and chassis with impeccable drive qualities! Highlights of this car include the original owner"s outstanding ownership and service history provided with the car! It starts with the original, hand-written dealership order receipt from Tunis Ford on May 24th, 1973 when all the options this car possesses were selected! The original dealer sales order also included concludes the sale of this highly optioned Mustang Convertible with an official delivery on July 13th, 1973! It has been serviced regularly and driven approximately 6,500 miles per year through the late 1980"s, which by the time the car already made its way to Florida. By late 1993, the car was ready for a full cosmetic and mechanical restoration. The body was professionally prepared with a full stripping of trim & moldings, acid washed, and fully repainted in its original color with all new weather stripping, window felts, fresh rocker panel moldings & wheel lip moldings, interior carpet, and more! This was performed by D&D Automotive based in Clearwater, Florida. They were also commissioned to fully rebuild the engine & transmission, along with the entire front suspension. A complete valve job, polished crank, new main bearing, cam & lifters, all new engine gaskets, fresh clutch, resurfacing flywheel, throw-out bearing, front end bushings, ball joints, lower control arms, and more were implemented to bring the entire vehicle back to new again. This was completed in 1994. It represents one of only 293 Mustangs built with a Q-code 351 and 4-speed transmission! Moreover, it is also only 1 of 494 ever finished in this color combination! Together, along with it very unique list of factory options, it is undoubtedly probably the only one built like it! We will gladly provide all past receipts, original dealership paperwork, and Deluxe Marti Report to review. Please feel free to call with any additional questions! This is a very unique opportunity to own a rare piece of Mustang history! Thanks for looking! Price: $34,900
