GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1957 Desoto Adventurer for purchase. Desoto was the top trim level automobile marquee offered by the Chrysler Corporation following World War II. The Adventurer was Desoto's top-level offering during its production run from 1956 to 1960. These cars were based on the legendary designer Virgil Exner's ''Forward Look'' body. The Adventurer boasts a stunning exterior with a color-sweeping paint scheme, a pillarless hardtop, chrome bumpers & accents, taillights ascending up the rear fins, Gold name plates, spoke wheels, cleverly placed rear-view mirrors, and a jet inspired windshield. Only 1,649 of these beauties were produced making this a rare vehicle to be standing in this condition today. This Adventurer is a one-owner vehicle with the original title. It is powered by the original 345ci Hemi V8 paired the original pushbutton Torqueflite transmission. The Adventurer was the first American production car to produce one horsepower per inch of displacement in its standard engine. This car rides exceptionally well which justifies the advertising touting the brand's new ''torsion-aire suspension''. This forward thinking car comes with power brakes, power steering, pushbutton transmission, power windows, tinted sun visor option, and power front seat. This is a really rare one-owner survivor that includes almost all the original paint, original interior, original rims, and original dash. Everything works on this car! This is such a great collector's item and it runs & drives great. Please call or email for more details!
