This 1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 is just plain nasty. Professionally built and packing more than 600 horsepower it's the car most guys dream of owning but never quite get around to it. If you like having the biggest fastest meanest car on the streets there aren't many that can measure up to this one! There's no avoiding this Mustang and its mostly authentic look. It's like the 1970 Mach 1 went to the gym and lost its baby fat. Hunkered down over a modified suspension the sportsroof bodywork looks better than ever in bright silver with black accent stripes. A few tasteful body mods give it that musclebound look starting with the Shelby-esque bulge in the quarters slightly taller rear wing and a deeper chin spoiler. But other features like the hood scoop blacked-out tail panel and hood pins are pure 1970s cool. Fit and finish are exemplary as you'd expect for a pro build and the silver paint is shiny and smooth enough to look like the whole car was hewn from a single chunk of aluminum. Note that the stripes wrap onto the chin spoiler for effect but use the stock Mach 1 pattern. Add in brilliantly chromed bumpers correct Mach 1 rocker panel trim and a generally mean attitude and you have one of the best-looking Mustangs we've ever seen. The interior got a similar workout now sporting brilliant Ford Blue Corbeau CR1 buckets that only slightly removed from being full race pieces. 5-point harnesses are included and anything that wasn't directly linked to going faster was ejected from the build sheet. Auto Meter instruments fill the instrument panel but you won't find any fake wood just industrial-strength surfaces that are all about function. The trick shifter is linked to a beefed C6 3-speed automatic and while it really is a no-nonsense car there is a top-quality audio system with a Sony AM/FM/CD head unit a 15-inch MTX subwoofer and two 1500 watt amplifiers plus a set of speakers in custom door enclosures. A fat leather-wrapped steering wheel makes it easy to get a grip in the heat of combat and it even includes power windows and locks a nice touch. The trunk is very neatly finished and still offers plenty of room even with the rear-mounted Optima battery. While the hood stripes say '351' Ford supplied one of their 460 Super Cobra Jet crate motors which is rated a 609 horsepower and 685 pounds of torque. Topped by a Holley carb and high-rise intake it'll incinerate the tires with just a tickle of the accelerator. The hood scoop is functional and the engine is a tight fit in the Mustang's engine bay but thanks to careful engineering and workmanship it looks easy. Special care went into the design of the cooling system so it could handle the rigors of the Texas heat and with a massive aluminum radiator three electric fans and a transmission cooler we're happy to report that this one runs cool no matter what the circumstances. Ceramic-coated long-tube headers feed a Magnaflow dual exhaust system that sounds like Daytona and the drivetrain was built to take the strain featuring a 9-inch rear lowered suspension and front disc brakes. Custom 17-inch Torque Thrusts were powdercoated black then fitted with 225/50/17 front and 245/45/17 rear performance radials. Words and pictures can't possibly prepare you for a drive in this Mustang. With just 1400 shakedown miles it's fresh fast and ready to impress. Call today!
