This 1979 International Scout II clad in Copper Metallic is a nice driver with good options including a V8, automatic transmission, power steering and power brakes. Paint is good driver quality with no bubbles and no known rust issues; there is some minor unevenness to the metallic particles visible in direct, bright sunlight but it's unnoticeable under most conditions. The truck has a brand new Softopper soft top -- the side and rear windows can either roll up or unzip completely in nice weather. Rust is always the enemy with Scouts from this era, but this example has some of the nicest floors we have ever seen. Floor pans and rockers are original and very solid; door alignment and panel gaps are good. Glass, trim and rubber are all in nice driver condition, and the grille has been updated with the SS2 insert. Newer alloy wheels with nearly new 31x10.50 LT tires complete the look. The interior is clad in desirable Russet plaid. Door panels and seat upholstery are in excellent original condition; the vinyl floor covering is brand new. We have included some photos of the floors with the seats and vinyl out to show how nice they are. All of the gauges, switches, indicators and lights are working -- and there's a brand new Bluetooth-enabled stereo with aux and USB inputs fitted in the dash. The dash pad is perfect with no cracks; paint in the door jambs and on the inside of the doors is original and showing minor wear, but I like the fact that it's original paint. Under the hood is a 345 cubic inch V8 with a new four-barrel carb; it?s mated to a TorqueFlite 727 three-speed automatic transmission. Additional factory options include power steering and power front disc brakes. The truck starts, runs, shifts and drives great, and both the steering and brakes feel just as they should. It's still wearing original paint under the hood. Overall, this Scout is a turn-key driver with a great look and great options ready to be used and enjoyed by its next owner.
