First introduced in 1953, the Cadillac Eldorado quickly became synonymous with quality. The Eldorado was the most expensive car in the Cadillac line-up, with the exception of the built-to-order Fleetwood 75 limos. The big Caddy got even bigger and more powerful throughout its lifespan, as well as more expensive. After switching to front-wheel-drive in 1967, the Eldorado neglected the oil crisis altogether when it introduced a 500ci V8 in 1970, the largest production V8 ever produced. The convertible was reintroduced in 1971 along with a redesign and new 110eroportions. The Eldorado survived throughout the 1970s as “America"s last convertible' and was marketed as such. The 1976 model proved to be the last year of the droptop and sales nearly doubled to 14,000 at a base price of $11,049. We are very excited to offer this 1976 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible! Finished in its original Phoenician Ivory with a matching top, this personal luxury car makes quite the statement! The exterior is complemented with its original Light Ivory Gold sierra grain leather interior. The car retains its original numbers matching 500ci V8 and 3-speed Turbo Hydra-matic transmission. While these 1976 Eldorados were already very heavily optioned from the factory, this car has the following options on top of the $11,049 base price: Dual comfort seats, door edge guards, cruise control, remote control passenger mirror, illuminated passenger vanity mirror, controlled cycle wipers, illuminated entry system, hard convertible boot cover, trumpet horn, tilt/telescoping steering wheel, carpeted rubber floor mat, Twilight Sentinel, remote control trunk lock and automatic door locks! This very original 16,635 mile example is fully functional in every regard…all power accessories work and the AC blows cold. The dash pad, door panels, convertible top, original window glass, wood, leather and date-coded seatbelts are all in fantastic condition and support that the car was very much a sunny and 75 car. 1976 was the last year of the 500ci V8 and convertible top (for a while, at least) and this example should appeal to collectors and enthusiasts alike! Price: $38,900
